Area: Kyalami
Working hours:  Monday to Friday, minimum 4 hours per day, afternoon to early evening (tentatively 15h00 to 19h00, to be confirmed when school timetable is finalised)
Start date: January 2023 start – permanent contract
School holidays: to be discussed and agreed upon closer to the time however, Monday to Friday, minimum 4 hours per day and morning hours are preferred
Duties: Collect from school on all school days. Drop-off at school when necessary. Tutoring and academic support for all school subjects. This includes preparing in advance for tutoring lessons, sourcing support materials for school work, etc. Supervise homework and school projects.
Provide support when preparing for assessments, tests and exams.
Equip the child with the study skills to produce good quality work and academic results by facilitating the learning process. The end goal is to develop the child to perform independently, with minimal support.
Transportation to and from extra-mural activities when necessary.
Duties over school holidays: Specific focus will be to catch up with school work, bring child up to speed with new concepts, and consolidate learning areas across all subjects. Equip the child with the study skills to produce good quality work and academic results by facilitating the learning process. The end goal is to develop the child to perform independently, with minimal support. Transportation to and from extra-mural activities when necessary.
Requirements: Male or female candidate aged between 25 years to 35 years with tertiary level education and highly competent in all school subjects listed above.
Experience: Remedial and/or special needs teaching experience is advantageous.
Attributes: Proactive and self-driven individual with very good work ethic; conducts him/herself with the highest level of honesty and integrity; always acting in the best interest of the child and his future. Positive attitude and chemistry is a given.
